Instructions for Flags - Largest Countries in the World
Here the student gets to practice what the flags look like for the 40 countries in the world with the largest population, according to Wikipedia October 2023. The list includes the flags of officially recognized sovereign states.
1. Select the correct country (Flag to country)
Multiple choice - The level consists of 50 questions (all of which have pictures), but a maximum of 10 questions are practiced per game round. For each question, the player is given three possible answers. Only one of these is correct. It is up to the player to choose the correct alternative. The student has 3 hearts (extra lives) that keep the game round going. Answers have speech synthesis in English. There is no time limit. When the student has selected all the correct answers, the game round is completed. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button named Cancel - then the correct answers will be displayed - and then try to complete the level again.2. Link together (Flag with country)
Link up - The level consists of 50 questions (all of which have pictures), but a maximum of 10 questions are practiced per game round. The player's task is to link the 10 questions in the colored boxes with the most appropriate answers in the white boxes. Each colored box can only be linked to one white box and vice versa. The student receives feedback on the links before submission and has 3 attempts to get all the links right. Answers have speech synthesis in English. There is no time limit. When the student has linked all the boxes correctly, the game round is completed. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button named Cancel - then the correct links are displayed - and then try to complete the level again.3. Write the name ofthe country
Questions with text answers - The level consists of 50 questions (all of which have pictures), but a maximum of 10 questions are practiced per game round. The student has to write the correct answer without color guidance and has 3 attempts to write the correct word or sentence in each question's text field that are not case-sensitive. The student receives feedback on each keystroke to make it easier to type the correct answer. If the entered character is correct, the text turns green and if it's incorrect, the text turns red. Questions have speech synthesis in English. There is no time limit. When the student has written all the answers correctly, the game round is completed. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button named Cancel - then the correct answers will be displayed - and then try to complete the level again.4. Flag memory (Flag to flag)
Memory - The level consists of 50 pairs (consisting of identical images paired with each other), but a maximum of 18 pairs are practiced per game round. The student's task is to find two cards that match. If two matching cards are found, they are removed from the board. The game is finished when all 18 pairs of cards have been found and the memory has no cards left. There is no time limit. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button named Cancel - then it will show which pairs of cards match - and then try to complete the level again.5. Flag memory (Flag to country)
